Dermal Filler

What dermal fillers are used?

Ageing skin produces less hyaluronic acid and this contributes to wrinkles and dehydration. We use the Juvederm and Restylane range. The Length of duration varies but is typically 6-12 months. The filler is a soft gel like consistency that plumps, volumizes, lifts and hydrated the skin,

What are the side effects and risks of dermal fillers?

In the hands of a properly trained and experienced practitioner dermal fillers are very safe. Common side effects are mild swelling and bruising lasting up to 2 weeks depending on the filler used and its application. Most bad press has been with the use of permanent fillers, which we do not use.
Less common problems are visible filler under skin, lumps and nodules and compression of vessels.
